**Vancouver, May 2025** — The **Canada Contemporary & Diverse Artists Association (CACDA)** has been officially registered in Vancouver, marking a historic milestone in Canada’s efforts to advance multicultural artistic development. The association is dedicated to promoting artistic expression and exchange within multicultural contexts, building cross-cultural communication platforms, uniting the creativity of diverse communities, and contributing to cultural integration and peaceful development in Canada and beyond.

As one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities, Vancouver is home to ethnic groups from over 180 countries, speaking more than 100 languages. Born from this vibrant cultural intersection, CACDA aims to position art as a bridge for dialogue, community cohesion, and shared values.

Inaugural Initiative: Vancouver Multicultural Arts Awards

As its first major project, CACDA will host the **Vancouver Multicultural Arts Awards**, open to youth aged 6 and above, adult art enthusiasts, and professional artists of all ethnicities, languages, genders, and abilities. The competition will feature categories including painting, digital art, and cross-media art, judged by an international panel.

Under the theme **“Beauty in Convergence · Diversity in Symbiosis”**, the awards are co-organized by **Canadian Heritage**, the **Asia Society Museum in New York**, and the **City of Vancouver**, showcasing the fusion of multicultural influences in art. Winning works will tour exhibitions, be featured in an annual publication, and auctioned for charity, with proceeds supporting children’s education and multicultural art initiatives.

**Xinliang Wen**, CACDA’s President, stated: *“Through the universal language of art, we hope to convey Canada’s respect for multiculturalism to the world and amplify the voices of immigrant artists.”*

**CACDA’s official website** (www.cacda.art) is now live. Artists, educators, cultural organizations, and the public are invited to engage with the awards program. Partnerships with businesses and media are also welcome to drive the growth of multicultural arts.
